No. We come out, walk the yard with you, and leave you a written number with no obligation. If the price does not work, that is a completely fine answer and nobody will chase you about it afterward.
Yes. Daniels Landscaping is a licensed California contractor, LIC #1138709, and carries liability insurance on every job. You can look that license up before you even call us, and honestly you should do that with any contractor you are considering.
No, and this is the part we care most about. Every job is done under one licensed contractor from the first day to the last. One company is responsible for the result, there is one number to call if something is not right, and the same faces are on your property throughout.
Both, and both under one contractor. You are not paying a designer for a drawing and then finding out no builder wants to price it. The people who draw the plan are the people who have to put it in the ground, which keeps it realistic. Details are on our landscape design page.
It comes down to square footage and how much has to come out before anything new goes in. A front yard refresh and a full property rebuild are different orders of magnitude. Tell us the number you are working with and we will tell you honestly what it buys rather than designing something you were never going to approve.
A front yard is usually about a week. A full property with hardscape, drainage, and planting runs a few weeks. Permits and material lead times can move things, so you get a real schedule at the estimate and a call the moment anything shifts.

For most Valley lawns, yes. A cool season lawn is the wrong plant for a climate that runs over a hundred degrees for weeks at a time, and keeping it green means spending the most on water in the months water costs the most. Turf stays green with none of that. See our artificial turf page.
A large share of what we install now. Low water planting, decomposed granite, boulders, gravel, and efficient drip give you a yard that reads full and finished while barely touching the water bill. There are often local rebates for tearing out a thirsty lawn and we will tell you what is running.
Yes, all of it. Old concrete, dead planting, sod, broken irrigation, and general debris leave with us, and it is written into the estimate rather than appearing at the end. You should not be living beside a pile in your driveway for a week.
Our work is installation and renovation rather than weekly mow and blow. We do come back through the establishment window to make sure planting takes and the irrigation is dialed in, and we are glad to point you toward maintenance crews we trust.
